Is there another way (Explosive Ordinance Badge)?

Ok, I have nearly 600 kills with explosives now, and from ubar, I need to get 500 global kills and 23 kills in one round to get my Veteran Explosive ordinance e badge (YES I LIKE MY BADGES, and I work hard at getting them).

Not so long ago, I was sitting on 400 plus kills with explosives, and I didn’t have my basic Explosive Badge. I was finding it a little difficult to get 13 kills in one round. Then a friend with around 100 kills, tells me the only way to get the badge is by doing the car bomb tactic. I disagreed, so we both set out to get the basic badge, he got is in the first round or so of trying. While I tried my hardest to get it without having to resort to the car bomb tactic, a week latter I still hadn’t got the damn basic badge, yes I got damn close but no cigar. Now lets look at it, 13 kills in 1 round roughly equates to killing 1 FULLY loaded black hawk (6 kills, 2 C4 sticks), 2 Tanks with Gunners (4 kills, 4 C4 sticks), and 1 fully loaded Jeep (3 kills, 2 C4 sticks). Now that doesn’t sound hard, but you try doing it. So I gave up and got my damn explosive badge, Jihaad style.

So my question to everyone out there, Is there another tactic in getting the Veteran Explosive badge, other than Jihad style??????

sneak into main base, put c4 on cars trucks etc,wait andddddddd.......welll kaboom

I got it in Kubra Dam. Not a good map for anything really, I was just lucky that I detonated just when 4 people spawned.

I got my basic explosives on dalian as engineer with AT mines. couple of full APCs drove over my mines.

But that was more luck. Only way you are guaranteed is with jihad.

Also for veteran it is 18 kills in one round i believe.

lol i get 20+ kills wit c4 on karkand, sit at choke points, wait for ppl to run through


ive killed about 2 ppl with jihad, i dont care if others use, i just happen to suck major at it

I tried that, and unfortunetly it wasnt long before they through up a UAV and found me hiding.

karkand between the us and mec first spawns that enclosed area, throw c4 over walls and around and u can rack up kills.

suicide works well but you don't get much in the way of points because it takes points for the suicide or at least it did for me so what i've done is take a vehicle load it up with C4 and drive to a location where you know either someone is going to steal it or get next to it and then boom

it works well and you don't have to take a suicide

i'd suggest using both tactics and a few others in order to keep them guessing about what you're up to

eh on karkand if you want you can stick c4 on apc and go to the close mec base get out, run and hide, wait for them to run for the apc, boom 4-5 kills a pop

I had many problems getting this badge also, but I did had tons of kills with C4 and then I got this tip.

Karkand , start round as mec, be a sniper and drop claymores where the US guys have to pass to first point.

Every claymore you drop will be hit, resuplie somewhere or die and drop again and again. This works very good and after like 5min you got your badge.

Only downside, it's BF2 and you will offcourse have some teammates running over them, but is't for the badge, so who cares

I tried that, and unfortunetly it wasnt long before they through up a UAV and found me hiding.

1. Always hide under buildings to avoid arty.
2. Even when the enemy commander spots you, *most* people won't take a second look and will just ignore you.
3. If the enemy commander resorts to using the UAV on his main, consider it as helping your team, as he is wasting valuable resources on 1 or 2 people in an otherwise unpopulated area.
4. Strength in numbers. A squad of four or five people has the capability to dominate an uncappable main. If you can destroy all commander assets, steal some armor, and camp, you are virtually unstoppable. A lot of times the enemy commander will just say "f*ck it" and resign in frustration. :)

To add to the original post: sending a squad to their main works well for the lucky spec-ops soldier who gets to blow things up. If they're good, they will hide, and one or two or three spec-ops will C4 every piece of equipment while a support class re-arms them. I've been lucky enough to do this for a whole round while oblivious enemies continued to hop into vehicles only to be blown to hell.
