    Help with bf2

I'm trying to play battlefield 2 on single player mode, and the game field loads pefectly then it tells me to select a kit, squad etc and there's no menu or anything just the field. But when I move my mouse it does make a sound like I'm clicking on something? Any help?

You mean there's no map where you can select spawn point?

Press Return/Enter and the map should be brought up, and you can click on the points there to spawn.

If you get distorted sound it might be because you set Audio to Hardware, not all audio cards support this, there's a list on this in readme.txt

Its like I can watch people fight but I cant fight even if I press enter or cap lock, the only thing I can do is radio for yes or no.

Have you tried going into options -> controls and apply default keyboard settings.

I did that, still nothing but before it loads it does "spawn time 15" if that means anything.

Yes, you should, I was just making sure because I didn't quite understand. Now I see that your menu selections are invisable which is weird. I would uninstall and reinstall the game because it sounds like your menu.con file is corrupt.

Well after reinstalling 3 times say samething happens, well I can seem to find the menu.con in the directory. So I'm trying to re-patch the software to 1.02, maybe that'll help.

Do you have any keyboard, joystick, or mouse mapping utilities running?

                          e.g. logitech, nostromo, etc

Try unplugging all joysticks or other extraneous USB devices and try unloading any of those re-mapping apps.

                              It's sure worth a shot.
