Fubar

Was playing last night and was in Humvee shooting at a semi loaded Blackhawk, way ahead of me was an APC, also trying to shoot down the BH. I was able to shoot it down, there where 3 enemies inside

I get 2 kills Me (HMMV) Players 1+2
I get a third kill Me (BlackHawk) Player 3 (he jumped out and the BH exploded)

Then….. BH wreckage falls to ground ON friendly APC

I get team vehicle damage
I team kill the guy in the APC
And…. I team kill the guy BESIDE the APC
And, you guessed it, I get punished for the TK

I think I broke even here but still, that sucks, for me!!!

i got 3 accidental tks with a bomber when my score was like 50 and they all punished and instant kick as well

I hate people who punish for stuff like that though. I wish the punish feature wasn't even added, or at least made so apparent as it is in BF2. In 1942, you had to take time out of your game to open the console and bother with the ptk feature, but now you get a nice big message that basically says "Here's a feature for all you inconsiderate jerks out there. Would you like to ruin someone's day?" I think it should take like 10 punishes in a round (and it resets after the current round), some negative amount of score such as a -10 as an auto kick, and just let the admins kick the people who are being jerks instead of the algorithm taking out most legit players and letting the jerks stay in.

doh that sux...and definitely FUBAR. I personally think get negative points for nicking a player or a vehicle is lame...sure if you TK someone or a vehicle I can see a loss in points but come on.... I've been punished for taking out a full loaded BH but the wreckage killed some n00b right below (who was about to be mini gun chum). /me shrugs

The individual servers can disable the punish function.

As we do. You really don't need it when you have good admin coverage. :)
