Greetings - on maps like Dragon Valley where the sky is a very bright white, you've probably noticed that your tank, APC, or AA vehicle's HUD is useless when looking at the sky. The light HUD and the bright sky blend together, and you are left with jack squat to aim with.
BF2 *should* allow you to tweak your HUD colors just as they do the crosshairs, but until they do, use this little tip.
Get a small piece of "gift wrap" cellophane tape, place it on your monitor, and sharpie a tiny dot in the center. Voila! Instant aiming point so you know your APC's gun rounds will be pointed at the whoring Blackhawk. I fold the very edge of the tape under itself on one side to make for easy peeling off. The "gift wrap" tape has a beneficial property over plain old scotch tape in that it seems to peel off much better, making it safe for my LCD monitor.
While you still can't see the computer-generated aim point "flaring" when you are getting hits, at least you will have a better chance of hitting your target.
Happy hunting!
