Am getting back on my problem posted a week or so. I CANNOT unlock weapons. Am 19% away from Corporal Rank and no unlock for me. Always playing in official ranked servers. Asked for help within EA. Two e-mails, two answers, NO solution. They told me to uninstall (and reinstall) BF2 in a specific way after running a regisrty cleaning tool for BF2 they gave me. Also to manually upgrade Punkbaster. I followed their instructions, but nothing happened. Moreover I was never able to see my stats on BFHQ, they are always 0. Tried another nick reached Lance Corporal, nothing again. Am really dissapointed. A guy told me that I should use my account on a friends game to unlock weapons, but i cant run to another pc every time I get promoted. Another told me its because of encryption problems within windows because I use spyware programs that might have deleted something important. I don't know though if there is any other solution than formating my pc. Any ideas are welcome. Thank you in advance.

I wonder if the stats tracking sites show the same stats as your BFHQ?

For a TCP/UDP porting test, try to connect directly to a modem and not a router and see if the unlock is offered at startup.

Was the uninstall process they described like this one?

To delete the save files:

1.
Open My Documents.
2.
Right-click on the Battlefield 2 folder and choose Delete.

To delete the game files (in the default location):

1.
Open My Computer.
2.
Open the C drive.
3.
Open the Program Files folder.
4.
Open the EA GAMES folder.
5.
Right-click on the Battlefield 2 folder and choose Delete.
6.
Close all open windows.
7.
Right-click on the Recycle Bin and choose Empty Recycle Bin.

To edit the registry and remove Battlefield 2:

1.
Click on the Start button.
2.
Click on Run.
3.
Type regedit in the text field.
4.
Click File and then choose Export.
5.
Name the file Backup and make sure the Export Range is set to All.
6.
Click Save; you will now be returned to the Registry Editor window.
7.
Click the plus sign next to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
8.
Click the plus sign next to Software.
9.
Click the plus sign next to DICE.
10.
Right-click on the Battlefield 2 folder and choose Delete.
11.
Click the plus sign next to Electronic Arts.
12.
Right-click and choose Delete on any Battlefield 2 folders.
13.
Click the plus sign next to Microsoft.
14.
Click the plus sign next to Windows.
15.
Click the plus sign next to CurrentVersion.
16.
Click the plus sign next to Uninstall.
17.
Right-click and choose Delete on the key named {04858915-9F49-4B2A-AED4-DC49A7DE6A7B}.
18.
Close the Registry Editor.

Battlefield 2 should now be completely uninstalled. If anything appears to be working incorrectly after editing the registry, simply double-click on the Backup file on your desktop to restore the old registry.

Well they gave me a link to a registry remover that does all these automatically. I saw an earlier post on your instructions and checked registry to be sure that alla these were deleted with that tool...and they did. I followed instructions by word but nothing happens.

As for what you write about TCP/UDP porting test, i dont know really how to do this.

Waiting for answer from EA to see what is wrong. And yes I never get BFHQ stats.

BF2 stat tracking sites are ok, have no problem, only BFHQ

Sounds like a TCP/UDP port being blocked then.

In that case you need to get into your routers configuration (if you have one) and allow BF2 to open those ports. Also make this adjustment in your firewall if you have one.

If both of those are open and it continues contact your ISP about opening the ports, as some ISPs tend to block certain ports.

As for what you write about TCP/UDP porting test, i dont know really how to do this.

He means to plug your cable modem or ADSL modem directly into your PCs ethernet port. If you are on ADSL, this will require you to add a new connection and set the PPPoE properties. If you're on cable modem, all you do is plug in and go.

This way, you bypass your router altogether which may be causing a problem.

Otherwise, as the above poster has mentioned, it could be your ISP and not your router blocking the ports.

Also, make sure you turn off and/or disable any software firewalls (e.g. SyGate, Windows XP Firewall, ZoneAlarm, Norton Internet Security)

Login and join www.bf2tracker.com and see what it says you have for stats and points. See if your even getting registered with EA/BF2.

Try deleting the BF2 folder in My documents and rerunning the game so it refreshes everything, saves on the complete reinstall.

Thanks for suggestions I will look into them. EA cannot help me. EA UK told me cant help, and to contact EA US, which they said that common excuse of delayed stats. They didnt even see what I wrote. Two months of gaming how much more delay in stats could I possibly get.
Anyway I keep fighting with that old guns and try to see if next rank to Corporal (1400 points left), will do anything.

Thank God I got my problem solved...in another pc. I installed game in my office pc and boom it said after 2 months at Lance Corporal Rank "Congrats you are promoted to L.C, choose weapon to unlock". 9% left for 2nd unlock keep fighting all of you guyz...see you in the battlefield.

i have this exact same issue, but i'm only at private first class, i mean i have been through all this crap with ea support, and nothing is working, i have being playing online for a month and my BFHQ is nothing, my bf2tracker is keeping my stats so that keeps me happy, but im afraid when i unlock a weapon i will not be able to coz of my BFHQ wont display my stats at all.

STAVKON, did it finally update on your home pc once you retrieved ur logon from EA from another PC???

I retrieved unlock from another pc and yes the unlock worked on my home pc. So now that am Corporal I will unlock another weapon from other pc and it will be ok at my home pc.

i created a new account, but using a different password, my BFHQ then worked with that new account. I personally believe that the reason my old account was not working was because it had a invalid key in it, such as a symbol that was in the password. because when i tried to create a new account with ea on their website for support etc. it wouldn't let me use the symbols so i guess it was same with online BF2 account but did not reject it at time of registration.

So i am starting over from scratch anyway now.

My account is STAVKOn and the password is just numbers so I dont know if thats my case. I created also another simple word account but still no BFHQ so I stick to this.
