Someone took a screen shot of him on the knive/pistol server and they sent it to EA/Punkbuster!

In the screen shot, he had 180+ points, 83 kills to 5 or 6 deaths!

It only took one screen shot to convict him!

I have been trying to play with him for about week, or so ,and not once, was he on that server!

I think Ea made a mistake with his case!

Rules should be set ((((((((before))))))))) a person can get caught breaking them!

Next time, i hope Ea atleast gives all players a notice of warning, Dont you!

LOL the only way you get the purple heart is by sucking (badly) or stat padding to get it (ie kill 5 people then just run into the enemy with no weapon out 20 times) just for the reward, i wonder if you have the airbourne ribbon as well? i hope for your sake you havent got it, or else maybe EA should start looking at your stats

I agree and disagree with what EA has done, as the sensible people here have said, he only got 2000 points (less then 3% of his total) and thats if EVERY one of his knife and pistol kills came from those dodgy servers, so its hardly padding, especially because, by definition, everyone else is using pistol and knife as well.....

BUT everyone knows those knife/pistol servers are dodgy, as is any server where they make specific "rules" to get stats/points so he got what he deserved really.

However many, many people from these very forums use those knife/pistol servers and post here to admit it, so i will be sending EA all the player names of people in those threads (i count over 100 that admit it in 4 different threads) and see if they will take equivilant action against them as well. The excuse of it was ok 2 days ago and cheating now dosent hold any water with me.

Surley the easiest thing to do is to have the BFHQ as the only way to look up stats (and no leader board) this is the only way to stop the petty jelousy of all these people that post "anyone in the top 100/500/1000/etc is cheating, its obvious" but they feel they are ok at one place beyond that

Is it not entirely possible he was de-stated(sorry for lack of a better word) for something other than being caught abusing knife/pistol servers? Maybe he actually was using some other form of a cheat/program that was giving him an advantage over others and EA/PB finally caught onto it or just got wind of what ever he/others are using?

I'd still hold off and see what happens to some of the other high-rollers before I make an assumption.

These stats that are recorded on an online stat server is run by EA? How do you know they don't have a program scanning all the stats that come in & are able to detect stat padders or ungodly ratios & stats? COME ON! 350 points in one round? 200 points? Paaaaaaleeeeeeeeeeeese!

200 points is possible just through BH whoring (although not on SaK obviously). 350, though, you've got to wonder...

350 points.. yeah that is a bit much but 200 points is easy. I've gotten close to that a couple times BH whoring, but I got nearly 230 points one time on an especially long map when I was the commander.

Ok, lemme express my opinions on this.

First of all, I've never heard of this elektric guy in my entire time playing BF2, not once. He is no celebrity. He is some guy with a really high score. Great. Good for him. Apparently, he's stat padded. Stat padded 2000+ points. Now, for most of us people who don't sleep, play bf2, sleep, play bf2, sleep, eat maybe, play bf2, etc, 2000 points is a fairly large sum something that actually has meaning, not just a small percentage.

Now all of you who agree with this:

youre cold man. seriously, if the guy made 2000 points in these servers to have 100000 wiped, then i really have to disagree with EA's decision on this. i mean, give the public a warning before you start wiping peoples stats, especially guys like this that dedicate their lives to the game

Think about this:

I just ripped off a convenience store and stole 2,000 bucks from it. The police figured out it was me, and came knocking on my door. The cop says "We know it was you who robbed that convenience store last week, and we have caught you. We also know that you make a substantial amount of money in your regular life, about 100,000 dollars a year. Since 2,000 dollars is just about 2% of the rest of your money, we don't really think its a big deal, and will be happy if you just give us the money back."

Can you honestly follow that line of thought at all? It makes no sense. Simply stipping away his stat-padding points would be like a kid stealing a bag of cookies, and when he is caught, he is just told he needs to put the bag back. There is no punishment! No negative consequence!

And, before you say "Well, he'll just kill himself," you know what? He should already own the rank of "GET A ****ING LIFE" instead of Sergeant or whatever. Playing any video game as much as someone who get that many points I'm sure is bad for your health already.

i dont feel sorry for him, ive seen him on pistol knife servers and to me thats padding, so if he was there, and played on it, then he gets what he deserves, and hope this happens to all the people who have been playing on ranked pistol/knife servers

but the store is losing 2000 dollars. i wasnt aware that there was a finite number of points available in the battlefield community, and any one person gaining points takes away from someone else... i guess you learn something new every day.
