Why do you die when a jet flies too high? Hah, rhymed!

So, why do you? I've been trying to skydive like I see in the stunt videos but once I leave the jet and I am too high, I instantaneously die. I THINK I die if I go too high and exit the jet because that's the only reason I can think of and also, when I don't go too high and exit the jet, I try to get back in like in the stunt movies but it won't let me back in!

Once, I skydived back toward the jet again I went too fast ramming my body at the side of it and dying, LOL! It was hilarious! So anyways, would you guys help me?

Ive been trying that out too. I think you die because the jet is hitting you. I did it a couple times as well. and as for getting back in, im stumped as well because i cant do it either. I actually end up going through it lol.

Dude.. You go up into the Stratsophere.. Lack of Oxygen, you have no control of youre plane.. That is why you die. lol

Yeah, the Jet hits you. Thats what ejection seats are for in real life, however they are not included in BF2...

Shame really...it'd be nice to eject up and out of the aircraft instead of hitting E and then just falling out. Good to have for those full blackhawk moments when you 'accidentally' ram into them...oopsies.

i wont to be able to skydive out of my jet, and then crab hold of one of the enamies jets and throw the pilot out of his jet and take it, Grand theft auto style all in mid air.

If lack of oxygen is the reason for death at high elevation, then I guess the whole pilot suit with accompanying helmet and oxygen mask serves no purpose other than aesthetics? (I'm pretty sure that as soon as you jump into a plane or helicopter your player model changes to that of a pilot).

its more than likely you're dying because of SPEED.. i've died plenty of times while flying STRAIGHT into the sky... and if u used the afterburners.. and are going too fast.. it kills you.. you CAN get REALLY high... high enough to barely be able to see the flag markers... can do some serious HALO jumps.

Of course, you go too fast! I can't believe I had not thought of it! Thank you so much! One of my BF2 buddies says he went 5000 mph in a jet once, what about you guys?

Stratosphere starts about 60,000 feet. I don't think you're getting that high in a jet in BF2.

It's nothing but the plane hitting you. When the planes starts to flip backwards if you get out you will die. You can stop this by pushing the joystick all the way forwards so it stays in control longer. That way I have managed to get to 4000 feet in a J-10 and then HALO jump on the enemy carrier on Dalian. It's not the speed or lack of oxygen, just your own plane battering the cr*p out of you.
