Disconnection = +1 death

It's true! Everytime you disconnect if you're not already dead the system considers it a death. Even if it's a connection error. I figured this out tonight after looking at my score and thinking "wait, I didn't die!"

Anyways, any idea if EA will fix this garbage in the future? I've been disconnected lots because of silly ping/PB kicks and connection problems... and its all adding up to lots of deaths that shouldn't be counted.

I guess it doesn't really matter, but it's a little silly that it counts it as a death.

No it doesn't "really matter". But it's annoying, and goes to show that EA released software that wasn't fully tested (once again).

You also get -2 points for teamswitching. What the hell is that?

I also think that if you kill yourself, say..fall off a cliff or something, you get the same amount of negative points as if you tk someone (minus a punish).

Come to think of it, cant remember if a tk is -4, but a self-kill is -2. But still, its pretty stupid? Surely just a death should be counted, from maybe an accidental mistake, or for example the laggy parachute which didnt open just at that last second? (Which isnt your fault anyway)

I think it actually does matter because for some of us we get havent actaully "left" a game yet we just play untill we get disconnected and get sick of loading in time after time.

Flying Vortex, read the context of his post, in HIS opinion EA SHOULD make it so when you jump off a cliff or something of that sort that you should get a tk counted against you, so -2 or whatever.

Yes, it does suck. But we cant do anything about it so we must live with it.

Why do you get negative team points when you are in a vehicle that gets blown up? It's bad enough that you get the death but is it really necessary to dock the player for the vehicle's destruction as well? Perhaps this is a likeness to billing a soldier for the multi million dollar cost of a vehicle.
