    sata?

    in order for my load times to increase even further i guess id need to get a new HD casue mines a ide wich is ****. so would a 10000 rpm hd increase my speeds? i have 2 gigs and i heard with a faster hd it will be even better.

    Yes a 10k SATA drive would help, but not enough to warrant the cost IMO. Just get a good SATA150 7200RPM drive with a good buffer and you'll be good.

      What he said. Actually, get a new SATAII controller and drive, 300 MB/s (not actual, of course).

      I opted to get 3 SATA 150's and a hardware RAID controller... Nice sustained transfer of 140 - 180 MB/s.... Burst of 650 MB/s :) Gotta love cache :)
