I don't think your connection is to blame, for I have the same problems and I have one of the fastest cable connections (Roadrunner in Del Mar = 5 ping in many counter strike servers, even when they are located hundreds of miles away). In Battlefield 2 I get these weird connection problems where my screen freezes, an error comes up saying there is a problem with my connection, and then 3/4th of the time it exits the current server. Also, at the end of EVERY round, I receive a "problem with your connection" error as the screen changes from gameplay to stat pages. This error doesn't prevent the game from proceeding, however it does alarm me and notify me of an ongoing connection problem with Battlefield 2 server systems.

This happens to me aswell even when i have a ping as low as 15 its just the servers nothing to do with your setup mostly happens to me on the EA uk ranked servers and im from the uk:laugh: :laugh:
Ok, hopefully i can help with this. I had this problem when I first started playing. What I did was delete all battefield 2 files and punkbuster files.

I did not do everything in the guide, but I did delete the game and punkbuster. I believe my problem was the punkbuster update. There is a great guide in there on how to manually download the pb update.
