I run almost same server, with commader mod disabled.

Anyway I'm wondering...
It would be great if squad leaders could call for supplies and UAV without commanders, or with commader mode disabled.
Any ideas how to do that ?

Gotta wonder how long EA will let that server stay ranked since you've removed the artillary from the game.

Yeh EA will probably end up removing it eventually.

But tbh no artillery servers won't be a top priority for them. Unless it is done through altering files. It isn't going to affect people's stats or anything dramatically either. So I can see them just leaving it for now.

I agree with ProfLiebstrom. EA aren't in a position to decide if one servers 'rule-breaking' * is better or worse than anothers, though I can't see them worrying about a 'no arty' server all that much.

I'm sure that some players will love this kind of server.

* 'rule-breaking meaning of course that the server is admined differently to other ranked servers creating an imbalance.

Yeah if anything, people end up getting a lot of points for right clicking once, and left clicking once to fire atry while they hide like little cowards in a bunker or something, lol.

I prefer no artillary.

No, it should be their first priority. As it obviously is a modded server (even if it's not any modded files, and just admin bans for people who do use arty), it means that people will be stat pad for much longer, because any time of server rule is obviously made for stat padding, and not to make the game more fun.

The admins who will surely be the commanders, will have inflated command scores which will give them the commander badges much more quicker than they normally would.

It's absoulte joke, and I hope that yourself ProfLiebstrom, who is someone who is known to meddle in server affairs to prevent such blatant stat padding would join up with me in this crusade.

I hope your server is delisted, your clan disgraced, your host sued and you are hunted down by hitman.

No artillery is going to make people like elektrik able to stat pad for so much longer it's not funny.

Cease and disist this before I make a post on bf2ranked servers forums and i'm a level 6 meddler. Don't mess with me.

2RB admins have not changed any server setting for this all we ask is that no artillary is used during game i for one and alot of others do not find this a problem.

As for stats being higher i have not seen this if anything the game is more hectic and quicker.

yeah, and whether or not it truly effects the stats really isnt the issue.. We lease 2 clan servers for other games, and we can do whatever the heck we want on them -- there isnt a global ranking system for those games...

In BF2, where clans can lease ranked servers, you have to follow the EA Terms of Service. Yeah, its your server, but in order to maintain continuity with all ranked servers, you have to follow the rules. I have the ranked filter set on my browser, and I expect my gameplay experience to be basically the same no matter what server I jump in.

I'm no fan of being arty'd every 5 mins, but nonetheless, tinkering with anything on a ranked server is a recepie for disaster. If you want knife only, pistol only, no arty, etc.. then get an unranked server, where you can freely mess with things.

And sorry to rant on, but crap like this with CLAN servers cracks me up. I'm not sure what ladder you plan on playing on, but you do realize that in your CAL, TWL, OGL / w/e match, the opponent will be arty'ing you constantly.

WHY would any clan alter the gameplay of their server to something different than the settings you play under competitively?? You are doing your clan no favors by having members pubbing all day long without arty - only then to go into a match and get pwnt by it...

Exactly, why should a person whose paid for a server decide what they do with it, when EA"s precious ranking system must be maintained or the entire system fails and we have stat padding anarchy.

I hope EA stomp right down on this, and then start on Karkand 24\7, then the INF only servers, and we can go right back to playing every map in the same rotation on every server in the entire world.

Maybe, but EA will shut you down anyhow because not letting people use arty is against the
rules when it comes to ranked servers.

Explain exactly how you can stat pad on a server just because there isn't arty ?
