[HELP]Game running in "slow mo" constantly!!!??

Hi Guys,
Got a friend (non technical minded) who has a bit of a problem with his game. He knows sweet FA about his pc but all the drivers are updated etc and latest patch installed.

The problem is, no matter what settings it is on (he has tried every combination of settings possible) the game runs in slow motion, sounds, video, mouse, everything. Menus work fine but the game its self is like watching an action replay.

Any idea's what it is so I could at least look in the right direction?

If he knows nothing about his PC it's unlikely that someone here is going to come up with any answers.

We'd really need to know at least the type of CPU, gfx card and memory.

maybe it helps you... I overclocked my graphic card to 585 gpu and 570 memory

I had bad framerates at the most battles.. I tried everything! without success.. after that I clocked the memory as high as the gpu and the game runs so incredible smooth!!!! maybe its the same for you.. check if you overclocked the gpu higher than the memory

Without knowing system specs it is difficult to give a measured response. However, you/he can do the standard things such as adaware, spyware, virus scans, disk cleanup, defrag, optimize windows for performance, turn-off firewalls and virus apps prior to playing(be sure to turn them on after playing), and reduce start-up progams to the min.

Don't be concerned that if it is you, that you know nothing about PC's, that's what peeps answer your "Qestions" for, to help you out and not to bash you because you don't know anything about PC's.

Please put up your ( friends ) PC full specifications with all facts like if have demo have you done things like tweaks looked at the stickys to find answers that match your issues uninstalled stuff, installed stuff.
Then we can start.

i get the same problem .. often enough to be a pain in the ass.. ESPECIALLY in the commander screen.. I have all the latest drivers, updates, tweaked windows settings, flashed bios to latest revision..

AMD 64 3400+
XFX 6800GT 256MB
1GB DDR333

(XP install is less than 1.5 weeks old)

the system is more than enough to run it.. but.. who knows.. seems like a lot of high end systems have problems with the games.. while these lil rinkydink low end P4-512mb ram- sub 200$ GPUs are running the game fine.... kind of irritating...
