Yes, I believe that mouse is wired. I have heard it is nice because it keeps you hand cool. Although I never have had problems with that myself. I would look at the DPI. That will tell you how sensitive the mouse it. I have a Logitch MX1000 and I love it.

        only 1 choice
        logitech mx518 - wired
it is the ONLY mouse that has selectable DPI in realtime
so low setting for aiming, high speed for maneuveing
        list price is $50
got it for $40 with free shipping

Actually MX518 isn't the ONLY mouse to have the feature, it is the latest to use it yes, but that makes sense since Razer Diamondback was out first and and Logitech copied/stole/borrowed the features from it. Razer has been using it a long time it isn't a Logitech thing.

There aren't many diffs betwen mx518 and RD, so the choice between the two is how you like to hold your mouse, and not much more. I'll go with the RD.

If I were to aquire a new mouse I would wait until Razer Copperhead arrives or the new Logitech mice.

There are many threads on this already, try doing a search, for e.g. mouse or mice and perhaps narrow it to Search in Titles Only.

I still prefer a wired mouse even after gaming with most of the high-end wireless mice for a few weeks. My current device is the Logitech MX 510, the precursor to the MX 518.
