it just means you can't spawn on them as the vehicle they're in is full to capacity

This may seem obvious but many people do not know about it. When your squad leader is in a vehical thats full *cough* blackhawk *cough* or your team has lost all flags, you can hit the little X button at the top of the spawn screen and it won't keep popping up to bother you, then you can press "C" to cycle through the players and find your leader/whoever u wanna look at him when you see someone die.

one thing though, I'd love a definitive answer on whether you can spawn on your SL when your team has no flags. Both assertions were made here. ??

You definitely cannot spawn on any squad leader when your team has no flags

OK, so that is a fact then. I always thought the basis of having a squad leader, is that if all spawn points are captured, you would at least have somewhere to spawn.

That is the reason for not being able to spawn on your SL if all flags are taken.
Imagine enemy has killed everyone on the opposing team except one, and they have no flags, so its just that one guys left. He becomes a SL, 5 people join his squad and respawn on him. Those 5 then form there own squads and the rest of the team can start spawning. SO the entire team can come back.

I think it would be good if you could spawn on your SL if all the flags were taken, but no one could change or make a new one while they have no flags.
This means if last guys left is SL, his squad can respawn but no one can join that squad to respawn.
This would make squads more used because without any flags you can still respawn assuming your SL is still alive.

My god, I can't belive i never actually have done that.

I constantly watch others when our team is fuxed and I want to know if they are going to cap or I can get a soda or something while I wait for us to lose. And that crap popping up drove me nuts.
