labelled a cheat

hi all,

just got off playing a game and within the first few minutes i was being voted off buy a two guys claiming i was a cheat, my stats showed this on the server or something.
anyway, i`ve never cheated so I`m wondering if there is something screwed up with my stats or something?

any ideas.

Would be nice to either:

a) have a screenshot of the scoreboard

or

b) an explanation of what you were doing that map, what kit/role you were playing and strategy

Either of these might help us explain.

bullcrap mate, they probably wanted you out because they were bored, or you were doing better than them

they just wanted an excuse, maybe you had loads of points?

More than likely. If you weren't running around in a helo killing everyone that is i don't see any other reason for the boot. Would be nice to see a scoreboard though. I have also seen servers screw up your score on bfhq while you are playing. Might have something to do with that. Your score would be fine now but it would look wonky at that particular time.

no , like i said i`d only been playing 5 minutes , in a tank so i got a few kills quite quick, maybe 5. someone then voted against me , i asked what his problem was and then he said something about the stat server had marked me a cheater.

If you were marked a cheater you would have been botted right away and logged. Not sure what to tell you d00d. was it a 16 player map?
If so it only takes a few votes.

just to add, the scoreboard looked fine. i was about 5th from the bottom at the time and nothing out of the ordinary.
I thought perhaps EA had marked my IP as a cheat perhaps.

no it was a 32 or 40 player. i didnt get booted off as i was only getting about 8 votes to kick me.

strangely before i logged onto this server i tried the EA servers and it kept coming up that i had a network error. i was playing at work for a change, so i didnt think much of it.

Maybe you should email EA and see if they have marked your IP as a cheat

playing at work? they let you play bf2 at work? Its when you start going BOOM! HEADSHOT that they start considering firing you.

nah, they were probably idiots, if they did a public kick on you, then they weren't admins and therefore had no way of seeing this ip log or whatever

I've been on servers where there are a number of whiners that will start a vote kick if they don't killed in a way they feel is 'acceptable' ie with a tank, Black Hawk, 203, etc. Same thing happened to me yesterday while I was playing on a 24/7 Karkland map. No one was using the tank so I hopped on killed about 4 guys as I passed the first spawn heading for the 2nd and what do I see? VOTE KICK . . . .HorrorBusiness. Didn't really care because these vote kicks are contagious so I ask what I did. Some cry baby replies, "You just spawn killed me 8 times in a row!" Check my score and only have 4 kills, so I laugh to myself and kill the guy over and over again. I think I finished with 44 kills and 1 death. Sometimes that whining is like adding fuel to the fire.

And i love kickin the crap out of whinners on Karkand. The map goes either way and people still complain about unfair playing. At least there aren't any helo's...

yeah, im an admin on our MACE server, and to be honest, its always admined (we actually have to get the server going with players, there is no one on most of the time lol) and we haven't had any problems.

The only problem yesterday was a person talking about statpadding, but as it was in the stage "waiting for # players to join" we just laughed at him and told him that no one else will want to stat pad with him on our server...so good luck!

i haven't had any problems with whiners at all. They are too busy getting beats from me.
