Appears EA is testing new patch

Was given this IP (159.153.1.168) which shows a new version as well as playing on a map called WakeIsland2007 which was indeed a bf1942 map. I did a arin.net whois on the ip and it is indeed an EA ip. The version # it is running is 1.1.2503.0. Looks like they are prolly close to finishing it or are finished with it and ironing some things out. Hope to see this patch public soon.

Wake Island 2007? an updated modern version of Wake island would absolutely rock.

I'm still waiting for Battle for Midway - two carriers, one island.. :)

It was running on that sever along with Night_Flight before the 1.01 patch came out weeks ago so I guess it's just a test map.

Well lets do a call out to [120mm]Tefty - he works for EA as a tester, maybe he can shed some light on this. I know he is not testing BF2, but maybe he knows.
