My rant about this game

The more i play this game the more i begin to dislike it, its not the games
fault but the users and admins who play it. (you know who you are) Take
the role of commander, you try and keep your team happy with supplies and artillery at the right time and then you get some player who drives through a flag surrounded by MEC and he thinks he can take on all of them like some 'Rambo Wanna-be'. but then has the cheek to punish and call you an idiot because he was killed by artillery, its even worse if he is a part of a clan then you get abuse from the rest of them too. Well who is the idiot? You allways notice the young players becuase they say something highly intelligent like 'Commander you suck' such a good choice of words from a Sergeant Major :laugh:

And of course don't forget the ones who jump in front of your tank and punish you for it, ok there are a few things to be fixed in the game but they will never make it 'idiot proof' would it be possible to programm a game to stop the people like this impossible? :hmm: they just dont want to play tetris anymore....No, no disrespect to EA but they should have got down to the basics and hired a psychiatrist in human behavior to take look at the game. Take this as an example, say that you are repairing you tank and someone steals it, ok he might have not seen you repairing, 'someone left me a tank, how nice thanks m8'. I don't think it would be that hard to disable the 'E' (Enter) key while someone is repairing it? that should apply to all other vechiles. I know this will solve lots of online flaming during gaming.

Last but this will never be least, THE ADMINS (there are some good ones) I know that admins play too, but the problem with some of these admins is that they are bad losers and they should have never had received an admin role in the first place. How many have you are doing well on a map and you have just fragged someone then you get. 'Connection Lost' i mean you have a good score you respect not to base rape you and read the rules. 'Connection Lost' yeah right! How many of you have got 'Connection Lost' while you have been commander?! You know i have played many hours without the 'Connection Lost' its just funny that sometime just after fragging someone i get it. Well if it is possible to kick someone one without the voting system then all we can say is that you don't deserve to be an admin on the server. You can't be bothered with the voting system that tells me allot about you.

Stat padders who cares, I have noticed a cheater just by looking at their rank and the way they play. I am proud of my 5000 points not becuase they mean absolutly F*** all to me but becuase i play without cheating, respect to others online.

Finnishdude that's pretty bad. I don't fly jets so i've never encounted that.

Tonight though on an aussie sever. I was commander and had a guy team killing me and blowing up all my assets. We tried to get him booted but of course not enough people vote. All he kept saying was "I did good, ya". Needless to say we lost the round by about 100 tickets and he started doing it the next round as well, so I bailed and found another server.

I think the problem isn't the game though, cause you are going to encounter idiots in every online game.

I'll be rich and famous when I invent the idiot filter for online gaming.

Best thing is not to try for armour/helo's/planes right at the start I find it's most competitive for them then... and usually the most dangerous for them then (because there is alos the most number of enemy vehicles roaming as well) rather I prefer to take a light buggy as AT/engineer and plan little suprises for the incoming enemy vehicles.

menace-uk, but is that not part of the nature of the game, that is the gameplay there is no balance there! What would you do to fix that? give him a Star Wars like force field? becuase that is really what you are saying.

You cant honestly tell me you dont get ****ed off when you spend a minute repairing you tank and someone hops in an drives off with it.

That wht u described is happening more and more. A lot of servers now have scripts kicking u for minus scores, so if someone punishes u in the early start of the round ull get kicked.

When i take off now i switch to external view so i can see if people are being muppets. I have had people just lie thier under my wheels after a while they get bored and move if they dont and i know scripts are running on the server. i just exit the plane and run off as if im leaving it only to double bake and jump infront of them taking off then get my plane after thier kicked for minus score.

Obviously if someone gets a plane first i have no quarrles and i go about my business capping flags as part of a sqd. However if some idiot wants to ruin my game play. Im sure as hell gonna beat him at his own game. Most of the people who do this anyway have the brain capacity of a lobotomised peanut.

I am with you with that. When you enter vehicle you should have the "ignition-keys" of it. As long as you are in 5m perimeter of the vehicle and are alive no-one can use it. This would also solve some other problems like when you park your humvee or other vehicle to nice spot for Air-defence only to realise that some idiot drives it away no matter what you shout.

Also to prevent fighting over planes make it so that first player in plane's respawning perimeter will get it. Simple as that. When plance respawns he has 5 seconds to freely enter vehicle and takeoff. Any TK in there by shooting, grenading, etc. will get _yourself_ killed instead. Because in virtual community people just aren't obeying rules nor common sense the game needs to be very clear about that.

..and I am not going to list again all those TK/TK-punish issues since they clearly need to be addressed and hopefully are in 1.03.

Finnishdude you have some very good points here. I would give 10-15 seconds to get into the plane as sometimes it takes a bit to get there

I've been using armour quite a lot latelly and sometimes its a nightmare with your own team running in front of you. I had the opp tank smoking on Karkand and was chasing after him for the kill, until some clever support guy, wished to replenish me, by standing right in front of me, i managed to stop, but had to wait till he was finished to move on, by this time the opp tank was almost on our next base, just managed to get him before he capped it.

Normally when i'm going for armour i'm an engineer. When I repair, I move far as possible from my team to do this, due to the tank stealers, pain in the behind, having to watch out for your own team, never mind the opposition when your repairing. And theres also the will I repair question, when you have a gunner on board, he hits the f1 when youve repaired it.

Complete bassas that do that, and you just know there laughing and giving you the phuq as they drive away....grrrrrr

1) No one can enter during repair except as gunner
2) When owner of tank is finished no one can enter upto 5 seconds.
3) Gunner can exit if chooses
4) Gunner cant swap (F1) during repair
5) Gunner can swap (F1) if 'owner' has not entered tank after in 5 sec.

Would that work or have i missed someting?

Other than that good points. I used to play planetside, which was a totally different game and u could spawn ur own vehicles. However they did have the option of locking the vehicle. Or seeting it unlocked for sqd members.

I guess in BF2 you could have the option of locking our vehicle to self or to Squad, but if it isnt entered after 5 or 10secs then it stats to burn then respawns at its original location.

- Yes of course hijack thats the gameplay that makes it fun. This is a fast game you could drop down to 3 seconds wait time that enough time to hit the E key.

I think locking the vehicles to sqd members sounds good but i dont think it would work. BF 1&2 was always an open terrain you could go and do what you like. If you start locking stuff you could get sqd's dominating the vehicles with spawn points.

You said you wanted the (e) button disabled and i was just saying that would not work .That part of the game is fine the tanks,apc's dont have your name on them if someone is not in it you have the right to get in it,it does not bother me if some one takes the ride i was fixing its not mine and i was not in it

I understand what you are saying and i suppose it is a valid point in a way but its not an important thing that needs changing

Uh how aobut i hate all these topics " I hate this game " and " I hate Chopper whores " to me they all say " Im a noob and i should STFU "

because really they are getting pretty stupid

we all know the game has flaws and we all know what happens. personnally i dont want to hear your personal stories about how you set up claymore and got punished or when you kept on getting owned by a blackhawk. or when fifty of your teammates run into your arty. **** happens get over it.
