My buddy has the same laptop. First off, it's not really a gaming laptop. Secondly, you're going to have to update your video drivers (Use the Omega Drivers) because the game will not run on the factory drivers. Thirdly, to get faster map loads, upgrade your RAM for sure. Atleast get another 512MB and you'll tell the difference for sure. As far as videocards, I think he has the 9100 mobility... but it's pretty much the same as yours! Good Luck!

          "ATI MOBILITY™ RADEON® 9000 IGP with 128MB DDR
          shared memory"

It's that IGP that's gonna cause you major problems. Integrated graphics processors suck for gaming. They have no VRAM of their own, they just borrow it from your existing slower DDR RAM. Theres absolutely no way to upgrade that, because it's physically soldered to your motherboard.

Your CPU, however, is outstanding, although some newer P4's have an extra 1MB of cache that really speeds some simple operations along.

512 RAM will hardly run newer games at all, especially since your IGP is already taking 128 of that and XP alone will hog 128-256.

Fact is, theres not many latops out there that can deal with these kinds of games. Mostly because you'd be trading so much portability and battery life for performance. (ie. 7,200RPM HD's instead of 5,4000. and AGP or PCI-E graphics cards in place of IGP's and GMA's) Not to mention they tend to cost in the high 2,000's. Don't be sad though, it's a good laptop, it just will never run BF2 that well.
