Problem with Voice, please help

I searched for any similar problems and i coudlnt find any so dont kill me if this has been answered already.

Today I got my Audio FX force feedback gaming headset (the ones advertised on this site) and i think the sound quality is excellent. The vibration is pretty cool too.
I plugged the mic in the correct spot on my sound card. When i tested it with windows sound recorder it recorded my voice fine. When i went into BF2 options screen, i can hear myself just perfect (with boost turned on)My problem comes in the game.

I can hear other people just fine, but when i hit "V" the little yellow mic only comes up if i am the squad leader. If i just join a squad, no little yellow mic comes up.
Even being squad leader though, nobody can hear me when i hit the button and talk.


ANyone else have a problem like this? I tried mounting the voice key to a mouse button but that did nothing. It still only brought up the yellow mic if i was squad leader and my squad still couldnt hear me.

GOT IT WORKING. well turns out V is the default button you use to talk to your commander, thats why i could only get the yello Mic when i hit "V" and talkedas a squad leader. (A big F U to all teh commanders i was talking to that never answered me)
So it turns out B is the defaul button for talking to squad mates. oh well maybe someone else wil have ths problem and thsi thread will help them.
