    Commander Stat Padding

The next bug that I have seen exploited by many high ranking BF2 players involves the commander getting massive ammounts of points even if his team loses misserably. I am not sure how they do it but so far I have seen 5 people who are in the top 20 using this bug, a bug which in my opinion is stat padding.

What happens is when you are commander your kills show up not in yellow text, but as a normal kill so you get the normal ammount of points for the kills you get with your artillary on top of what you would already get as a commander. Does anyone here know how they do this, and since EA's Forums are down "most likely because they are swarmed with so many bugs, and problems with the unfinished game" they don't know about it.

I have another bug to report.

I was flying in the american attack helicopter on the map zatar wetlands, I was on USMC. I was flying in the helicopter and all of a sudden all the announcements came up in arabic. I was confused because I never died and I still had my gunner sitting in my helicopter, but instead now my gunner was red. So I was flying arround as an MEC that got autoswitched with a USMC gunner.

The reason why your co-pilot was red was because his nametag was unknowingly switched to red and off the team's roster. He's still a friendly & teammate, just a different color of the nametag. In order to reflect his red nametag. I don't think it's possible to autoswitch until you're dead.

And about that Commander exploit, it's done when the commander initiates an artillery strike and resigns. This gives the former commander kill points when an artillery kills an enemy. I do not consider this stat padding at all since it still takes effort to get kills (i.e: Finding a good spot to initiate artillery strike and hoping the artillery kills a target) and uses the same process as a normal commander would do to get Arty kills.

1: The first glitch I read on a site, I heard that you make sure you are going to get loads of arty kills then you sent the arty and resign and then apply again and before you accept wait till you get all the arty kills and they will come up as normal kills.

2: Yeah I have had this, damn annoying, but yeah they hop in a car with you and its a red square instead of blue. Best thing to do in all cases if you arent sure just look at their skin if they are mec and you are on mec dont shoot.

But its even worse when its the other way round and an enemy is blue and it says teamkilled in the corner yet you cant punish. And why oh why is it they are allways in a god damn tank so you cant see who they are.

First one has been reported already, second one as well. The first one is an issue which would be difficult to stop from happening. The second is an EA issue that they are hopefully addressing in the upcoming patch.
