We will have new members joining are clan soon to play BF2 can you edit your account name to add a tag or will they need to start again with a new account which wont be popular.

They will have to start using a new tag. Since EA didnt make it so you can keep your account but with a new tag or name.

The answer atm is NO. There has not been any official mention of this changing down the road.

I agree, it is silly..and I HOPE they make a change or implement some sort of clan tag system.

It is however rumoured that you will be able to on the 1.03 patch with the 140 + fixes, if you can wait till it comes out, but saying that i have just joined a squad and had to create an additional account name with a new email address that's all. Starting from scratch can be so much fun!

After playing Joint ops which allowed you to, I can see the pros and cons for not being able to change, especially the pros to keep the cheats out.
IMHO it should stay as it is with a small tweak.

Yeah, all we can do is wait. I can't believe they are being so tight lipped. Released at least SOME of the fixes that are guaranteed to be included would help a lot of people with a lot of heartache.

for the time being, just tell them to use their current name. Then create a new name for matches with your clan tag on.
