If you're playing MEC on Mashtuur and can't beat the Blackhawk crew, try this. First before I start, I know some of you will say this is cheap etc, but you have to do what you have to do to win. Pick Spec Ops, plant C4 all over the nose of the Chopper, fly into the Blackhawk. Sometimes it will give you kills with C4, sometimes with the Chopper, sometimes someone else will get credited with the kills and sometimes you just get killed by the BH and the BH crew just dies. This is lame and cheap, but it's the only decent defense against the Americans. Today I held off the Blackhawk single handedly doing this. The rest of the MEC was able to go capture the other flags and it was a big distraction for the Americans. You can call me gay, cheap, noob, or whatever, but I'd rather be gay, cheap, noob or whatever and win. The ones that are against this are the ones that are usually American and point whore. I have nothing against point whoring, but if you are going to do it, I'm going to try and stop you. My team was praising me today when I did this, of course the American team was trying to kick me. My response.....If you're going to point whore, so am I. Just a little advice for the unfortunate MEC side on Mashtuur.

Re: Mashtuur Map Help
It's not very fun though is it? Play the game the way it's suppose to be played, as a team. I see where you're coming from though, and maybe you think you are actually playing your role in your team. I don't know, maybe I just play different to you. -

You just think outside of the box, more power to you. Personally I like to lie in wait for them to hover and fire a well placed 40mm grenade into the crew cabin.Originally posted by rymaplesIf you're playing MEC on Mashtuur and can't beat the Blackhawk crew, try this. How "should" the game be played anyway? The game is far from realistic. If it was, we wouldnt parachute from roof tops, or take a .50 to the chest and keep running. It's the quasi-realistic gameplay that makes this game so fun. You AREN'T restricted to any one type of gameplay.
If you want to land your cobra on a hill and jump in a gunner seat to mow down a flag...go ahead.
If you want to strap C4 to your buggy and ram tanks... have a good time doing it.
If the people who complain about these tactics have not yet discovered a way to adapt and overcome, they deserve to be fodder. Quit complaining and play.Comment

That's the best thing I've heard in a while. Stop worrying about how many points you or the other team is getting, worry about stopping them with whatever means possible.Originally posted by [TBH]AmtrakQuit complaining and play.
I've been rammed with a C4 strapped buggy countless times. Yes I don't like it, but hey, that guy stopped me. I've learned how to defend the west most flag on Kubra dam with a tank fron the BH. The last part of the map I just sat there because the BH refused to come my way. Just learn what to use and how to use it.Comment

You gay, cheap, noob or whatever !!
jk
seriously, you can play as you want, but I prefer just to play with my squad and try not to go where the BH is.
But usually, Im BH pilot and I go cap flags and get teamwork points.Comment

Re: Mashtuur Map Help
It's too bad that intelligent adaptation to enemy tactics hasn't traversed to real life in Iraq, where roadside bombs continue to take out our troops daily. We are one of the wealthiest countries in the world and have so many intelligent individuals that could formulate counter measures to these roadside bombs if prompted and funded by the government.Comment

Re: Mashtuur Map Help
I've done it... Except no C4 was invovled.. Chopper was full flag capping, got in the MEC chopper, and I ran straight for that blackhawk. I hit the top of it, it blew up, I got all 7 kills, and I flew away. I was crying after that and all I saw was spam of "Hahahahha" - It was awesome, lmao...Comment

I dont mind this tactic but I prefere just firing a grenade from the gp 30 into the pilots head when the BH is hovering.Comment

Anyone tried starting as a sniper and putting claymores around the side of your tank to keep away C4'ing Spec Ops?

Re: Mashtuur Map Help
I can't stand BwHores on Mashtuur, even if I'm on the US team. The result is a good map that lasts about 5 minutes.
What you said is perfectly acceptable to me. What's even better is to co-ordinate with your squad so that the rest of them camp up at the blackhawk spawn point. After you complete your dirty dead they kill the BwHores as they respawn and then steal the chopper. You can then spawn in and give the USMC a taste of the blackhawk. You'll find true BwHores quickly leave the server when they realise they won't be getting their stat machine back!Comment
