1.02 Ceases to aknowledge the existence of my internet

I need some help bad, Here's what happened. Played game online for about a week without patch 1.02. I decide to upgrade to 1.02 and now it won't even allow me to connect to the account server due to network connection problems. Checked network connection and im still good and can acess the internet. Turned off all firewalls and the game will still not let me in.
Before i installed the patch my version was 1.0.2442.0 now it has changed to 1.1.2484.0 dont know if thats important. but the game worked before the patch was installed.

Heres my system spec's if it helps or is needed to solve problem.

Asus A8n-Sli deluxe mobo
Amd 3200 venice core
1 gig (2 x 512) Cosair Ram
2x80 gig Sata hdd
evga 6600 gt graphic card

nothing is oc'd if thats a problem

Make sure your firewall has the updated version of BF2 listed. Everytime a program changes, firewalls will detect that, and re-ask about it access. You can manually add the program in most firewalls (refer to your firewalls "help" section).

Also make sure all network drivers (NIC) are up to date, as well as your routers firewall. If nothing else, do a "repair" under your network connection. Windows will drop and renew your IP, etc.
