Ok, ok, pick the machete, kill DLWebmaestro96, then return it coz it will no longer be useful and finally pick the G36C. lol.

I have tried the G36, and it is t3h sux compared to the PKM. PKM is not a accurate (DUH!) but all it takes are 3 hits and it even damages helis.

          Re: Hesitation between 2 weapons.

Been using the pkm alot (my only unlock) and it does have problems:

-Headshots...being prone makes you a very vulnerable target in bf2, and your body armor doesn't do crap when taking headshots. You'll notice that you die faster while prone than standing for this reason. You CAN try to kill someone while not prone, but it's done with a) luck, b) using the PKM like shock paddles...that means put the canon right in the guy's nose...then pray.

-Accuracy...man it's horrible. A deployed lmg (prone) should have the same behavior than those mounted lmgs that you can use on maps (they're always deployed at the worst possible places though). You need to use it in small bursts also, because both overheat and accuracy quickly destroys the use of that weapon if you go on full auto.

-Flashbang...there is no way to hide with this gun while firing...tracers, huge flash will guide all enemies directly on you, especially vehicles, snipers, spec ops...actually once you killed someone they will come back for you. You can't generally win speed contests.

-Myth...you do low damage to vehicle, it's barely noticeable on a tank, and tracers/flash will give you out. Only attack vehicles when they are not looking your way and are already smoking. Choppers that have gunners will have you torn to pieces before you can do anything significant, so be sure to stay out of their firing arc, and then spray in small burst. Don't expect any miracle there...you do crap damage, but pilots will see the health go down and might take you for a jeep hmg which is far more deadly: i've been able to scare off a few blackhawks so i assume it's for this reason rather than actual damage. A jeep takes nearly a full box of ammo, that should hint you some.

          The good:

When prone in a good position, especially from a position that is not in the path of the foe, you can get some streaks with it. If you are lucky you get one bullet in the guy's head and the work is already done, it has very good stopping power, and the noise make it a fun weapon to go wild with. For a real adrenalyne booster, share your kit with a friend or two, deploy side by side...and fire at the same time, the firepower is just jawdropping.

I'm sure the thing is more accurate in real life though.
