For some reason it takes forever to load Bf2 from initially clicking on the bf2 icon on my desktop. It takes like 5 minutes for the game to load into the initial sponsor screens. I'm not talking about loading actual maps, i'm taking about the game just starting up. Could it be something to do with my cd burner (my main cd drive)? Anyone else experiencing this? My buddy's pc (which is slower than mine) loads the game in practically no time.

Its either your Ram or your Graphics card In my opinion
try looking at the requirements and fulfill it
Therfore even if you got slower comp if you fulfill the requirements it will run quicker -

Get a ***** Crack or whatever and try it out then
If no luck, then grab some more RAM.. But whats ur PC Specs?Comment

asus a8n-sli
2gb pc3200 ddr (motherboard recommended simms)
asus n6600gt extreme pci-e viccard
yamaha cd-burner (dont recall the model number) 48x/12/12
onboard sound and lan (nforce 2)
I shouldn't have any problems loading. Here's the catch, I just upgraded my mobo,ram,vid (I was having power issues , thinking because I had a bad fan).
I'm using the same cd drive as the old system, and my old system had the same problem. The other item i'm using from the old system is my hard drive. Could one of these two things be causing it?Comment

Delete the movies at the begining..
Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Movies
you can delete all of themComment
