I installed SP64 1.03.
Understanding it is a "Beta version"
Let me say great effort! It runs about 5 mins then the game crashes,
Perhaps an isolated case, But when I use multiplayer mode I can't
connect to any ranked servers.I get a message that says's to use a unmodded or orginal version of game?
The "restore " feature did nothing. So I had to reinstall BF2.
The problem is that it's a really cool mod (if i could get it to run)
sys spec P4 3.0/1g ram/200gHD/NV6800GT256mb/ 23" Fl screen LCD digital mon -running 70fps avg with fullsliders @1200x1600 res
Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Forgive me, Let me be a bit more concise.
Battlefield Singleplayer 64 version 1.03
Its the 2nd most popular download on this web site.
It takes the single player maps which are the 16 player "small" versions,
Makes them the 64 player expanded "large" versions with xtra spawn points and vehicles.

I too am getting alot of CTD. I don't play online so I can't comment on that aspect of the problem.

if you installed it in the mod folder of bf2 then you can switch between the mod and original bf2 by going to the community section in the game and selecting which mod you want to play in the custom games.
There is absolutely no need to reinstall anything (least of all the entire game) if you follow the instructions which most mods include in a readme.

If you are trying to join ranked servers with a mod it won't work - mods don't use ranked servers. only unranked... to find one (if one even exists - i'm not familiar with this mod) try searching for the mod name in the server title.

Any CTD problems need to be referred to the modding team. either by finding an email address in the readme or by posting in their main forum post for the mod.
They will be able to help you more with any problems you're experiencing.

In addition to my previous post:

I just took a look at their forum page for the mod. Seems like they're just about to release 1.04 which will most likely fix any problems they're aware of with their mod.
Chances are your CTD's will be fixed in the new version.

Try getting in contact with the mod team anyway. they'll help you with the installing and likely causes for any CTD's.

I have the same problem. You missed the 'official' thread of the program

I had to re-install BF2 so i could play online again. And re-patching it takes so long!

Hello everyone, I am the creator of BF2SP64 and just happened to stumble by this thread. I would like to let you all know that I am aware of several issues that some people are having with 1.03 and they will in fact be addressed in 1.04, which is currently out to testers for review right now. I am currently looking for additional testers, specificly people who have any troubles with v1.03 that would be willing to try the pre-released version 1.04.
