hi all here are some pics from my map which will be released soon i still need to bit more work on it like adding more ramps, more toys, and bits and pieces to fill in the blank areas off the map i will leave a fair amout off space in the stunt areas, i also need to look up how to fix the green glow on outsides of the map, and a few other things i hope this will take a little time i hope i will try to to complete by saturday to upload a (beta version)

as i am sure that there will be comments to change things and to improve areas off the maps

so far
2 races tracks (1 race, 1 with ramps) close spawn points
launch hill over ship to another hill (spawn point here
ramps(jumps)all over the map in different places
2 very very long airships used for jetpowered races or just normal
a large map to fly in
added buildings etcs you know the


this map can be played in the normal bf2 game play however there are ramps you can not access (ive fixed this in race track 2 so that u can PLAY ) its more the ramps in other areas that cant access with out the STUNT MOD OR JETPOWERED ETC MODS

i have finished my map and plays sweet on my pc, however i cant package the mod in the editor i have tried many times to pack it with there tool back to package tool crashers it does give a idea whats wrong it comes up with (Editor memory dll:all.alloc attempt size 16777345) ibeleive this is due to map size i do rememmber when making the minimap the other night it did say to resize later so i think i need to resize the minimap dds. file in photoshop or
something i think

it plays very nice on my pc,so i dont see why i need to use the package tool
i have played in this map fo hours so theres no problems around game crashing at all

Packaging is just mainly for smaller filesizes and makes it easier to transfer to other people.


As for the error, I don't know tbh. You may have to try packaging it manually if you dont find a solution..

Guys, pack your map manually, editor's feature is buggy, it has been said several times in EA forums. Most of the time, it won't back undergrowth and/or overgrowth. Just open a regular map, open its client.zip, and select the files that are in there and you have in your map folder. you won't have all of them, and there will be some files and folders you will never include in client.zip or server.zip. do this for server.zip. takes about 1 minute, but its a lot safer. and you won't have those problems where some people can play your map, some can't.

new smaller test map finished and is on filefront, this is not the other map id worked on for about 3 weeks but another map which is test to see if my bf2 editor was working, so dont expected all the bells and whistles, horns, however this map contains

2 small race tracks
4 launching mountains with ramps on them with jeeps helis tanks
10 or so small ramps a few with containers to jump over
lots of hills(mountains to launch

GReat I'll be having it on my server if anyone wants to try it out. I'll give the ip in time. EDIT: ok next time if you would put the tracks on the mini map. ALso can't wait to see ur first one which I'm sure had a lot more effort into it. This one is still very good for a racing map.

cool thanks the reason mini maps is not there is because i dont have photoshop to CUT the mini map dds files down to 512x512 and 128x128,128x128 coz at the moment the mini map dds file is about 2048 in size the chews up memory of asbout 2 gig lol

i hope to get photoshop soon ( i did try the mini map on my other map and it looked sweet HOWEVER i messed up the dds files by over writing the the other 3 files in HUD, commanderMap, ingameMap etc i changed them to the main mini map and that had size off 2048 and uses over 2 gig of memory my bad, so untill i get photoshop i cant package the origanal map
