HELP.. Game wont Launch (not refresh prob)

Thanks for looking. Something strange has occured, the game will not launch anymore. When i try to start it the screen goes black as before but does nothing, i wait a bit, press enter and desktop appears!! Has been working perfectly up until now (1.02 installed etc.) having got past the refresh dump to desktop problem.

For the love of sanity please assist...

I've tried reinstalling the patch, removed autoloader and various resets / restarts. Still no luck. The demo doesnt work either. All my other games do however, it just seems to be BF2.

Sorry m8 - I had this same problem as well. Ended up having to completely uninstall the game, delete all of my registry entries associated with it and install fresh. Luckily it solved it for me. :/

Try some new drivers, it helped me.

Thanks chaps. I reinstalled (after completely scrubbing off the lot) onto a new partition and its now working. Sound has dissappeared though!! At least i can play....

I cannot see anything in the stickys that is relevant. That was where i looked first...

Sound fixed with creative live update. For some reason i couldn't install then locally. Weird stuff...
