ok first, all my other games run fine with everything maxed and no crashes at all. I have an X800pro overclocked at 585 gpu and 570 memory! thats alot and I have no artifacts or freezes (in other games) at all.
I tried EVERYTHING, I used different drivers, different windows settings different everything, but I never clocked my card back to normal (because other games run fine with that settings for HOURS!)
Then I did some reseach on the x800 cards and overclocking and read that if you want to proper overclock the card you have to do a voltmod (you only need a pencil).
so I did that, and you know what? the game runs so stable!!! stable as it should be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think I can overclock a bit more now. I just played 5 1/2 hours without a single crash and I that was the first time for me that long STABLE!!! :) :) :)
so if you have an x800 card and you overclock it and you get random freezes, you may want to clock it as it standards or my try the voltmod.
