PLEASE help! My internet is acting really wierd lately. For about 2 days now, my internet was going slow, I call my internet service provider, and through many BS calls, I finaly replace my modem with a new one, (my internet speed is supposed to be 500KB/sec). When this problem first started my speed would be at 50-120KB/sec then there would be spikes of 300KB/sec, or vice versa. After the new modem things got really wierd, when I run speed test, it comes up as 500KB/sec or sometimes even 700-800KB/sec, however when I play BF2 it LAGS alot! To make things even WIERDER, my ping is for the most part around 100, and rarely it says its at 300, or 200, for the most part it says 100ish, even though it is lagging all the time, extremely. I followed the BS instructions of my internet service provider such as, bypass the router, which never works, and plug the power straight into the wall, and not through a power bar (Another BS intruction). Sometimes when I do the internet test they read 100KB/sec or 200KB/sec, but for the most part they give me results such as 500KB/sec or sometimes 700KB/sec.
This is really confusing me! And I even tried joining a 16 player map with 16 people in it, and I was lagging just as much, and my pings were around 80-160! Please help me!
Edit: The reason how I know its internet lag and not comp lag, is because I can just tell by the movements, and also my frame rate is never below 20-30, but it still lags, which means it is caused by the internet :cry:.
