I've used the g3, nice weapon, but not fitting to my style of play, which brings into question... how can you really 'assault' with a weapon that has only 20 bullets? For sheer -shock- power, I use my trusty engineer shotty, or even the PKM (running into a room full of jockeys shooting a thing that kills in 2 bullets causes a bit of shiet-in-the-pants) seeing the entire group scatter is just precious, specially when they run outside and get plastered by someone else . ah well, G3 is fine from what ive used, aside from the lack of Nade launcher (very disappointing)

Haven't tried the G3 yet. I enjoyed the medic weapon. Switch to single shot and giver' Nice and accurate.

The G3 is amazing. Ive been using it recently since i unlocked it and by god its awesome. I snipe snipers with it, take out entire groups of people with one clip and 1-3 shots per person, if a tank sees me i throw smoke and run, i can camp the airports and if some people are looking around for me i throw smoke to a nearby bush so they think im there and then shoot them in the back once they run toward the smoke.. Just awesome.

I unlocked the G3 when I made Corporal this weekend, and I have to say I was pleased by it. I love its stopping power and accuracy. Even the sound of it rocks. It makes my Medic unlock sound like a BB gun. Yes I know the sound doesn't matter, but it's nice to have. :)

I unlocked G3 but I miss the noobtube. I love shooting HMMV/Vodnik with it. You get 3/4 instant kills. Try doing it with G3. Now I stick with the default weapons and love them.

Yeah, not having the M203 is a drawback when you really want to reach out and touch a group of enemies, or if there's an enemy vehicle that needs "asplodin'."

you don't make it, you join one! use a program like ASE to find a server...

You may have seen a guy by the name [LG]Republican. In CS:S, he is [LG]RepublicanAttackMachine. In BF2 he unlocked the G3. That is why in BF2, you do not see him anymore. Now you see a PKM wielding [LG]Cataclysm. Just my little story on how I created a new account to get rid of the G3 suckage.

Nah. It sucks because it's assault only. Some people like multi duty kits. AKA Medic or spec ops. Sometimes whip out the G3 if you wana just own guys though. I prefer having C4 or health packs/revives over just a good gun.

I think that G3 is the worst unlock. Not because it sucks as a gun (quite powerful). It just takes the only nice thing the assault has - the ability to destroy light vehicles/helis and so. A nade shot can scare the living sh*t out of a driver. With G3 you're just a slow running armored spec-op with no C4 aka rubbish :)
