BF2 stutters when looking left and right only!?!

This issue has had me frustrated since the demo came out. I was hoping the retail version would fix this issue but it has not.

Problem: When I am on foot and not moving (W A S D), the game will stutter ( as if mouse acceleration is being turned on and off rapidly) ONLY when I move my mouse to the left or right.

If I climb a ladder, and move my mouse left and right to look around it is fine. It's also fine when im in vehicles, or when i am running or strafing. This ONLY happens when my soldier is not moving.
Here is ONE other person in the world i have found that has this issue... to prove im not crazy :) DriverHeaven

ANyways I have tried:

New mouse
Formatting
Running Spy-Bot, Adaware,
Shutting down all unneeded processes
Mouse drivers
Video/SOund Drivers
Low Medium High Graphics and Resolutions
Changing mouse sensitivity in game and in windows
Enabling and disabling mouse acceleration.

Specs:
AMD 64 3400 2GBRam 6800 GT

Since you have tried so many different things, I will just mention things you haven't listed as possible causes.

Interface: If you are using a PS/2 mouse, try a USB mouse or visa-versa just for testing purposes.

BIOS: Look to see if Legacy Support for mice, usb and human interface devices is enabled or not. Modify as necessary to test.

Chipset: You didn't mention updating your motherboard chipset drivers. Perhaps there is a newer .inf file available in the driver package that would fix any broken ones.

I tried USB and it made no difference. Also Im running the latest motherboard drivers for my mobo. Legacy Mice was enabled. Setting to disabled made no difference. Thanks tho shamus. Any other ideas?
BTW this happens in single player as well... but does not occur in ANY other game. BFV is fine. :)

When you installed your drivers did you clean them first? Uninstalling is okay, but really you should use a cleaning program such as Driver Cleaner 3.

yes i always use driver cleaner... thanks tho. still having the issue. submitted it to EA, hopefully they will know. :)
