Battleground Europe, the newest version of what is arguably the most-realistic tactical first-person shooter on the market, today, World War II Online, is now in the Open Beta stage.

Because of the hyper-realistic nature of the battle being waged by thousands of human players on land, sea, and in the air, don't expect to dominate the game the way you do in Battlefield 2.

The Open Beta is FREE while it lasts... Battleground Europe is scheduled to be released soon. You'll have to subscribe, then, but there are ways to get FREE months.

It is so many games rolled into one that if you're a big fan of tac-shooters you'll probably want to stay subscribed. I've been playing for several months, off and on, and I've just now gotten to where I am feeling satisfied with my abilities.
