    Using a Game Pad

Wuts up guys i just got BF2 yesterday and i was wondering if anyone has been playing this game with their game pads instead of their keboards and mouse... because im having a problem. I have all of my buttons set up correct except that i still have to do my aiming with my mouse. Anyone know how i can fix that? Ive been trying for a while now. Any imput would be appreciated. Thanks

    Re: Using a Game Pad

    From experience.

    Joystick: YES
    Gamepad: NO

    the reason...

to do a gamepad you need a "profile editor" or editor for the gamepad to re-bind keys, and to give the control "AXIS" Functions, movement, up and down side to side etc. Personally, I have a gamepad and spent hrs and hrs configuring it and got it to an awesome place of configuration but its not worth it, its not as easy as a keyboard and mouse. Joysticks though I say Saitek Cyborgs. Joysticks are a big plus for BF2 air vehicles, and you need a joystick with profile editing abilities.. or so ive found ffrom my own experience... Im sure others can help as well.

Why would you want to use a gamepad for infantry? if so why dont u just get BF2 : MC for the xbox :)

But on a serious note, ive not come accross people using a gamepad for infantry controls. Plane yes, there useful.

Have u tried configuring the analog/d-pad in common controls?
