Updating Video Settings

When I update my video settings it says that the shaders will be optimized when I load a map after applying the settings. When I load a map it says nothing about updating the shaders -just loads the map.

I recently applied this command from a command prompt instead of adding the text by right clicking the desktop shortcut and adding the text to the command line. I needed it to get 1280 x 1024.

There isn't..use the command line option instead:

"C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1280 +szy 1024

Should there be a message that the shaders are being optimized when loading the map?

Go to C:\Documents and Settings\yourname\My Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache\

In there should be a folder called {D7B71E3E-4305-11CF-D07D-0A2000C2CB35}_2484_3
Or something similar (it's randomly generated)
Delete the folder then load up the game again.

There are four folders in there and they all look similar.
