I seem to missing my hit indicator? In other words the little X that appears when you hit someone. Do some servers turn off that function or did I turn it off somehow?

Actually, I have been having intermittent loss of my hit indicator as well. I have narrowed down the cause over the last few days and learned that after playing on a server without the hit indicator enabled, my hit indicator will be missing on all other servers as well. This includes testing in my own server and on single player mode.
In order to remedy this I have to delete the BF2 cache from:
C:\Documents and Settings\Shamus\My Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache. However, on one occasion, last night in fact, I had to reinstall the 1.02 patch over the game to get the hit indicator to return to normal.Comment
