My mysterious squad lag

I have just confirmed the source of my severe lag, and I have searched for a solution, but I can't seem to find one. Maybe one of you has heard something about this?

I was on a server that played Strike at Karkand only, for this experiment. I stayed unsquadded for one whole battle, and had a picture perfect BF2 experience. Not even a hint of lag. Then, at the start of the next round, I joined a squad, and I immediately started getting "There is a problem with your connection" literally 25-33% of the time. Basically I can't really play the game Nobody else seems to be reporting this issue.

It must have something to do with relaying the squad info to you.

Maybe disable VOIP?

D.... disa.... diable VOIP :cry: Nah, I'd rather just play another game. Besides, lots of other people use VOIP and don't have my problem.

Maybe you could simply disable it temporarily as a troubleshooting measure?
