Well, without people that are against you and people that flame you there's not much to a forum, just people saying yeah, you're right all the time. I go to the forum's to get a nice debate, but flamewar is a bit too much, with out a bit of debate there is no point to the forum, becuase if i had a thread called something like G36Cvs.L85A1, and everybody liked G36C there would be no point, for that kind of thread i would like constructive posts with debating why they think in their opinion that one weapon is better than the other, but when flame war breaks out, the thread just goes nowhere, people are just restating what they said like a million times and calling people names, a nice debate is great, flame war is just terrible for people that just want to read what people have said.

I don't have problems with disagreement - I have problems with the needless flaming.

Example of flaming:

Person #1:
"I don't like thing A for reasons XYZ"

Person #2:
"You clearly don't like thing A because you suck"

Person #1:
"Seriously, thing A has these problems"

Person #2:
"It's because you suck"

Example of disagreement:

Person #1:
"I don't like thing B for reasons XYZ"

Person #2:
"I disagree. Thing B is fine for reasons CDE. Consider reasons LMNO, too.

I don't have problems with disagreement - I have problems with the needless flaming.

maybe, but here there are things said that are realy so dumb, you need to flame.

Person a : we realy need to get more points
me : you are a noob, it's not all about points and you are just frustrated getting not enough points

person a : the M95 sucks, I can't even hit a guy 50 feet from me
me : I kill tons of guys with it, lots of others think it's fine, you just suck with it.

Person a : I think when you die you should respawn after 2min or more
me : you are stupid! there would be nowbody left in the game, and in bad luck you spwan and get bombed, wait another 2min or more.

person a : this must change, that must change, bla bla bla
me : play another game, BF2 isn't for you, the gameplay is BF2 style, if you don't like it, beat it

Yep, that's what i say is th worst part of the forum. I could imagine a guy searching for which unlock, and then he reads the first two pages, at the middle of the second one somone flames sombody else, the guy flames him back, flame war starts, and then they all start saying i could kick your ass, just tell me which server and what time, and then there's relations to real life and stuff like that. It's just sucky for thee guy that wanted to know wat to unlock, but instead he sees non stop flaming and relations to real life. Flaming is what kills all popular forums, if we get rid of flaming, then the forum would be much more useful and more interesting.

well, if you take the mean ness out of the posting like rombaft on your post on the M95, instead of saying you just suck with it, change it to you have to learn how to use it that's all. If people were generally nicer it would be much better.

Don't take this comment wrong because I love this site. The problem seems to be in the moderation of the forums. If a post goes off topic it should be closed. That's all there is to it. If they can't handle it, then they need more people to moderate. Like you all have said, people go WAY off topic and start some argument and makes a simple post into a 15 page post of nonsense. That is the real reason why these posts end in flaming. People can't control themselves so have to post some dumb, one liner that has to go off-topic because they disagree with a problem many people seem to have with the game but have nothing to say except, you suck. Moderators are suppose to spot these things and take care of them. Atleast that is how good sites I have seen work.
It's funny how the internet brings out all the kiddies who want to talk trash who would be quivering in a corner if you were facing them in a face-to-face debate. Hence, I try to play later at night when they are sleeping or earlier when they are in school. Arguments on forums are never worth it. Someone always has to be the smartass.

I see it that the game is so vast in its abilities and dynamic (a VERY good thing), that varying playing styles have begun to clash in such a way that games of the past have never allowed. Most games fall under a few general styles when it comes to FPS and when a great game comes along that attempts to meld a few of those together into a single entity you run into conflicts of game style interests. Just like TK punishers and the like I think this will balance into an equalibreum eventually. Just how many people complain along the way my vary =)

I am well aware it's there. Most people do not. People should not have to do this. That is the job of a moderator. Plus, just look at all the posts. You would have to report a lot of posts.

Yeah, there should be a mod that checks for any wierd posts and look at em and maybe move them to off topic. Hear That admins, maybe it's time to start recruiting mods again.

On the replies to my post, it isn't only the M95 things that bother me, in the beginning I said you need some practice with it and gave some tips, but when the M95 sucks topics keep and keep comming I reply with :"you suck" .

But it's more the : this vehicle must change, this map must change, the scoring system must be changed, we have to get more points for doing that, ..... all about guys who want to change the gameplay are for me a real pain in tha ass who are realy playing the wrong game.

The gameplay is battlefield gameplay, it's been like this from the very beginning (more then 50years ago in 1942 :lol: ) . those people have a big chance to get flamed by me
