    GOOD tip for performance

Hi all maybe i have some good news,

Tired of playing with low resolution, and bad performance?
If you have windows XP. and you think your performance could be alot faster, download this program. Game xp, its real good..made for games.

Before i had to play everything on low/off, only textures/terrain medium.

After i got this program, everyting is on high!
except textures/terrain medium. i even got anti aliasing on 6x.
    Everyting looks great 8)

It improves your performance..it shut down things that you dont need, so your game will be alot, alot faster.

Also, the program is free for us, and its very easy to use.
Just start it, go to options, click everything..then click warp speed.
after restart your computer..and you're ready to go.

If you want to go back, just go options again and re-click everyting..press warp speed...restart computer, done!

    Removed for now - DP

    Hope this helps

Step 1: Do a services tweak guide.
    Step 2: Unload your anti-virus.

Tada! The exact same performance boost.

I tried it. Easy to use and it actually worked (well, I could turn some settings up). I'm no computer whizz, so a tool like this is really useful. Thanks for the tip.

I read the guest book and saw some people complaining so I'll wait and see what other people here post before I try it

It is nice to make those types of complex tweaks available to the masses with single-click ease

Well since I'm pretty adept at low level windows tweaking I don't really have any need for such a program, but I agree it's good to make some of the complicated tweaks avaliable to those with little computer knowledge. :)

what does it do. Does it just deal with start up programs, services and stuff like that? I'm covered on that.

The last time I used this, it disabled Windows Installer completely. I had to format my computer since I couldn't install/uninstall anything, =\

It messed with things that it really shouldn't. Sure, it makes some games faster, but still.

then create a system restore checkpoint before you try it.

I dunno I'm a little wary of these types of programs. I just keep my HD's and Registry very clean and defragged and run my GPU on high performance settings.

Risking my OS for a few more frames is risky in my opinion.

ouch If you have XP, and saved a Restore Point you could just roll it back. Before installing anything new I allways set Restore Point. Sorry to hear about that Dude, I hope you get it sorted out!
