Quick Question Regarding Stats

I've read on the EA BF2 Page that stats are updated like 'screenshots' as in, At the end of a round the server sends the statistics back for processing.

My question is, since they said that if the server restarts, our accumulated stats for that round are forfiet, what happends if we just disconnect? Are our stats still recorded if the server stays operational without a hitch?

The reason I ask is that obviously we have to disconnect at certain times. I.e. Dinner's ready, Friends want you to go outside or what have you.

Do the stats save, but simply get sent at the end of the round? Even if you've disconnected? Or do your stats for the partial round you played effectively mean nothing? Any help would be appriciated in my understanding of this. :)

Afaik, stats get recorded and sent as long as you have been in the round for 5 mins, up until you discon.

Well I lost my connection today during a round (router reset), when I returned a new round had begun and I'd received none of my points.

So, I'd say unless you complete a round until the end you won't get the points.

It is 5 mins .. but if the server crashes before the end of the round you get nadda, if you rejoin a server within 2 mins you will actually keep your points you accumilated before you crashed/left.

This happened to me a couple times. I came back in on the opposite team and the round ended before i could switch back. The end round stas had me on the correct team though with the same numbers.
