I care, stats padding is against the rules and should not be tolerated.

Their behavior should set off an alarm at EA or Gamespy or wherever they keep ban/wipe people's accounts. I'm not sure if they respond to community reports of cheating anyway, someone else may know.

            Re: Stat Padder Reporting

Best decision is to get over it. EA doesnt care too much obviously because they don't have a direct easy accesable link to report cheaters.

              Taken from bf2tracker.com Someone emailed EA about it. Heres what they said;

              Dear Customer,

if you have watched cheaters or boosters and want to report them, please follow these guidelines:

              1. we need the name of the player
              2. we need the name of the server where it happened
              3. we need the date as well as an approximate time
              4. we need information on how those players exploited. A short description is sufficient. Maybe with screenshots, shouldn't be bigger than 0.5mb tho

Send this information to us in English language using our Right Now Web Tool:

              a) Open your internet browser and go to http://www.techsupport.ea.com/
              b) click the button "EA Technical Support"
              c) choose platform "PC" and product "Battlefield2" and click SEARCH
              d) just click the first answer. As soon as you see that one, there'll bee a new button on top "Ask a question", ( WTG EA for hiding this button! )

The data will be analyzed and forwarded to the respective GMs.

              Thank you for your support.

              EA Customer Service

Edited: Be nice to other members please. :)

Heres a little quote from a response I recieved from them:

There is simply no way we can adjust every players score, though we would love to. We do however, review every claim and report so that we can identify any potential issues.
The truth is, EA doesn't care about stat padders anymore.

hell, i dont agree with stat padding, but at the same time, i dont care enough to go complain or rat on these guys. i mean, seriously, youre getting pissed because some guy has a virtual rank higher than you. if only you guys would put this effort into your real lives, you may actually get a girlfriend

What rules? People don't like it so they tend to vote kick (which never happens) them out of the game. There is no rule about this. It's just a "play fair" that players made up. It can't really be enforced.

                      4. we need information on how those players exploited. A short description is sufficient. Maybe with screenshots, shouldn't be bigger than 0.5mb tho
So you're saying that someone from EA spelt "though" as "tho" ?? No wonder this game has so many bugs. They have people who work for them who can't spell. What's next? C++ ebonics?

I think someone should make a website called "bf2 wall of shame".
All it is is a site where people submit shamers & incriminating screenshots. These shamers are then catagorized into different groups ;D

... anyways, I think it would be funny. Wanna see how that dumbass who kept killing you does it? check the wall o' shame!

i think the number is much higher that sets off an alarm. Me and some buddies manned the BlackHawk the other night, all 6 of us had 220+ points. a couple had 300+.

I am sure they do care about stat padders, but just think logically. Thousands of people stat pad. There is no way EA is going to spend the time to investigate every report they recieve. I am sure they are way more worried about keeping the top 100 or 1000 as clean as they can.

I care, shmuck. Why? because EA will start punishing us ALL with
new limitations that hurt admins.. ever hear of the minimum player
to start a game ? where and why do you think that came to be?

I'll tell you... because stat padders were going off on their lonesome
on empty servers and padding their stats, so EA instituted this silly ***
minimum player to start rule.. which only hurts admins EVERYWHERE
who are trying to get some activity on their servers..

otherwise, no, I dont care about stats, or how many points someone
has.. but since EA cares sooooo much about their gay ranking system
they will stop at nothing, including punishing the other 99% of legit
players to thwart a handful or stat padders.

easy for you to say, just play the game.. are you paying hundreds per
month for servers that are empty because you cant get 16 people to
join all at once..? probably not eh.. you just find one thats loaded and
join it.. so think before you open your trap next time.
