and this isn't in one of those 64 sized maps with only 5 guys on each side. no. there are about 25 or so players on each side. also, take a look at the top 6 players on the usmc side. they're on the blackhawk squad and their getting beaten - score-wise!

i've owned in the mec chopper before you just need a goood squad with people who can think plus an alert pilot the guns suck but you can work around it plus i think it's a little more robust than the SH60 i'm not sure exactly how many hitpoints it takes to kill one but i usually last longer in the mec chopper when someone is shooting me from a vodnik or HMMWV

I kinda find it funny that the gunnery sgt is the one piloting the helicopter running around capping flags.

That's some might fine stat whoring going on there. You probably had some sort of arrangement with the other team.

In a mashtuur city being played normally, the mec chopper gets torn apart in 5 seconds if it tries to cap flags. Even if you get 6 people, it'll last at most 2 flag caps before it dies. All it takes is a humvee, an anti-tanker and a support dude or noob nader and it goes poof.

I agree my old airpig can be pretty useful with a good crew[with out Just capping flags either] ive gotten a good amount of kills with that 50....

Yeah, I've had some of my best chopper whoring using the flying cow on Fushee Pass. The USMC were whoring is up, so we thought we'd show them how it was done. This was with a good squad (ahhh those magical engineers!) and VoIP so that the whole crew can spot dangers on the ground, or in the air.

You spend a lot more time doing defensive flying though, as it's not even worth trying to use those mounted machine guns to kill anything! With someone watching in F11 rear chase mode, they can give a vital couple of seconds of approaching aircraft.

Following behind the blackhawk works really well. As soon as they leave, you fly in behind and take the flag straight back. Staying directly behind the black hawk means you're always out of reach of those miniguns!

the MEC and Chinese troop helos are sort of pigs.. but they will get the job done with a focused crew.. don't bother comparing them to the SH-60..

The 'key' to getting rid of a MEC/chinese transport chopper.
[a] Shoot it. The chinese, being masters of origami, make their transport helicopters out of folded paper, unfortunately this provides no protection to it's occupants.
[b] Don't hide. Whilst the crazy Americans put horrible death rays on their flying fortress, the Chinese/MEC being more cultured people decided to put confetti throwers on their transport choppers. These choppers spread peace & love (and the occaisional grenade) - there's no reason to hide.

I can understand 'not shooting' a BH - as you usually die, but these things are sitting ducks...

Actually all the transport choppers are the same, but people never give them real credit as they think the black-hawk is mighty powerful. The true answer is I've whored the MEC transport chopper before, the only difference is when your shooting your guns you cant efford to be off by a little bit. The difference is with the blackhawk the damage is area damage, which newbi's often take advantage of. Hence all the threads about how the blackhawk is better than the other transport choppers.

But people dont take time to realize how very useful they are, but, more importantly they never realize how incredibly powerful they are if used properly.
