Landing

Does anyone have any tips for landing aircraft? VTOL landings are simple enought, but what about the planes without VTOL abilities?

The only reason I have for wanting to do this is to repair the planes, so if anyone knows a way of repairing your plane without landing that will do also! (I know you get repaired when you fly over the base, but it takes forever doing it with flybys...)

I think if you go slow enough over the length of the runway, swoop down, slowly over the runway as if you were landing, it should repair you fine.

Landing is quite difficult for me, and seems a bit unnecessary if I can just flyby.

I'm sure others will have some tips for you. :)

Make sure that you are close to the ground while decreasing your speed because if you don't you will nose dive into the ground. Also, keep the nose up while going in for the actual landing.

if youre a good enough pilot youll be fully repaired just from reloading every once in a while :P

Just decrease your speed as you are veering up to the runway, keep your nose up and slowly go over, But dont let your speed go to low.. Once you are repaired face your nose up and Afterburn your way to the skys

Thanks for the tips people. I think what I'm gonna have to do is practice offline. Most of the damage I incur comes from my own bombs, which is worrying! :hmm:

My favourite thing to do at the moment is to get a fighter-bomber with a co-pilot. I just line the plane up and let the bombadier do all the shooting. All I have to do is avoid being shot down by other planes which isn't too hard.
