Right i'm well peed off right now i've had TONS of problems with this game i finally get it working for a week and now everytime i go on any server as soon as i spawn it kicks me and says.

"You Have been kicked via punkbuster (for 0 minutes)
Restriction: Corrupt memory/file (81090)"

If i have to uninstall it then i'm selling this game and going back to counter striker or i'll wait for quake 4 because i don't think it's worth it tba.

I really hope theres a easy solution to this :cry: so pleaaase help me

Download this:

http://www.evenbalance.com/downloads/pbweb.exe

and copy it to the pb subdirectory:
C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2\pb

and then run it.

Otherwise, you may have to re-install...no big deal. Only takes a minute.

Have you installed any mods? Have you installed the v1.02 patch? If so, did you have problems with it installing?

I haven't installed any mods and i have FINALLY istalled the 1.02 patch after about a week of trying to do it. if i re-install it, it takes about a week before i can do everything cos the patch always says failed and i get errors on my installation i only did it by fluke this time, anyway i'll try and do what you said i'll get back to you cheers

Well, maybe the patch really did not install properly.

Try this patch instead:

It is simply all of the files contained in the exe version officially released by EA and is fully endorsed by the official EA support forum team here:

The patch installed properly because i've been playing it fine for a few weeks it's started now being all ***. I've done the pb.exe thing and it dosen't say if it's worked or not :S im going to try it now.

pbweb.exe should bring up a DOS window and then it should proceed to download a bunch of files from evenbalance.com

If you did not see that window come up, then it did not work. If you have any software firewall running, make sure you disable it.

i had the same problem...
Just innstal BF2 into a diffrent folder...
it will fiks the installing problems...
Atleast it worked for me...

ok 1 question if i delete profiles while uninstalling it when i install the game again will i be able to retrieve the account or will my accont be deleted??

Accounts are NEVER deleted. They are kept on GameSpy's end. Deleting the profiles off of your machine does nothing to them.

To get them back, in the BF2 login screen go to Manage, and then Retrieve once you're re-installed.
