    Aircraft Ramming

What I'm taking about here is:

    Planes ramming other planes
    Planes ramming Black Hawks
    Planes ramming Support Helo's

You get a guy on pub, that gets in a fighter, and all he does is find the enemy chopper and ram it every chance he gets. He gets a death, and 2 kills nearly every time.

Is this a valid tactic? Or is this just a guy being a p*ssy and just out to piss people off.

    *EDIT*

Do you think that if you intentially ram another aircraft that your spawn time should be doubled? Just a thought.

Well there is 2 sides to this I think.

You obviously get the idiots who just ram you. Then you get the accidental rams.

Sometimes I ram the jet/heli when I didnt intend too, just trying to get as many bullets into it as possible and waiting for a lock on. When ever I do ram by accident though I always apologize!

Ramming blackhawks is a valid tactic as blackhawk whoring is just as lame of a technique as ramming.

Well that all depends. Ramming a blackhawk that's just dropping people off isn't cool. Ramming a full blackhawk of flag cappers serves em right

noobs trying to get aerial service ribbon maybe...cuz experienced pilots don't need ramming to take a helo down....

Ask the Divine Wind pilots of the late 40s what they think of this practice. Maybe we should have kicked/banned them?

I ram sometimes. The only easiest way to bring down a chopper is to gun it to death. WHen doing that you often crash because you dont change course fast enough.

                      Re: Aircraft Ramming

I never ram on purpose, sometimes it happens due to lag. I would much rather stay in the air then to ram a helo or another jet, much smarter to loop around again and shoot them.

But your question about intentional ramming and extra spawn time, would be hard to prove as I said I never ram on purpose so why should I get a longer spawn time?

And ps. this has been brought up before

Its a valid tactic, especially against full BH's. Personally, I don't like it, especiallly when we're talking about planes ramming helo's....use your guns/missles lol!

I have used the MEC transport helo though to ram a full BH and rack up 6 kills :)

absolutely valid tactic, this is something I expect many clans to be doing in twl matches if the other side loads up the blackhawk.

                            Re: Aircraft Ramming

People I hate the most are idiot pilots who ram attack choppers. No flying skills to take it down w/ missiles or guns, so they ram it.

Sometimes (5% of cases) it was accidental and pilots apologize, but more often they're happy little idiots who are proud of their achievements ("I got ya, eeh?" types of comments).

While he's ramming me in an attack chopper, our bomber pilot is having a field day with enemies on the ground. But those pilots don't realize they should chase other planes instead of ramming attack choppers.

They're worse than BH or M203 whores, since I can at least do something about these - but I can't do anything against ramming planes when I'm in a chopper (or AA vehicle, or AA site - since you can't hit them w/ AA missiles in 95% of cases).

Umm, no, they will shoot you down with Eryx, Humvee's, stingers, jets and tanks.... I highly doubt they will be wasting jets to ram, this is a tactic for people who don't know how to shoot things down properly.
