Game does not allow me to set Crouch to Left Shift?!?!

Hey guys.

Anyone try and put the Crouch Command set to the Left Shift Button? My game won't let me.

I set every other Left Shift command somewhere else, but no matter what it says I am using Left Shift in the Helicopter commands. Which I am not.

left shift is sprint, did you change that?

Of course. I never used it anyway. I set it to "unused", when you press Backspace on the command.

i have the samn problem...it doesnt bother me anymore tho cuz i use prone alot but i would still love to kno how to put left shift as crouch.... sumone o_O

there IS a solution
you cannot do it IN game
go to My docs ... bf2 //profiles
find the correct one (profile)
edit with WORD not NOTEPAD
think it is controls.con
delete the line(s) with you want to edit
THEN you can do it in game

i have Sprint set to CAP LOCKS
i have prone set to Left Shift
and Crouch set to Left Control

nice comfortable settings for me.

hahah i had the same exact post here a little while ago, and NO ONE helped me, i had to go to notebookforums.com to get help (since then i have lost all respect for people solving tech related probelms on this site)

What i had to do to get it fixed was have someone give me there config file, it didnt matter what else i tried, but this worked....

Or you could just get a mx518 and set it to one of your side buttons

I changed it easily,in controls change crouch to NUM7 and sprint to NUM5(or other if this is taken),then just change crouch to shift and sprint to ctrl
