edit: yea ive seen this but it doesnt give any add-on's to the videodefault.con or anything that would help me. its a great guide, but IMO its all explanation. i neeed some known tweaks :)

also got 2 minor issues.

1. Is there a way to make the models such as vehicles look better at long distances? When at longer distances, the vehicle will lose polygons and not look as high res. I tried changed the LOD factor in video default from 5 to 20.. didnt make a difference.

2. I am getting weird mouse issues will i am on foot. instead of the mouse lagging and dragging behind...it will accelerate once in a while and skip along the x axis. (left to right) this only happens when i am on foot and standing still. i have tried install/uninstalling mouse drivers... using a different mouse. etc etc. maybe it is sharing the same IRQ? how do i check. alkl other games are fine. thanks

Performance tips...yeah...read the BF2 tweakguides article posted above.

Also, turn dynamic lighting and shadows down to medium or low (depending on your specs).

Try unplugging any and all unnecessary USB or gameport devices (especially all joysticks)

The "crazy mouse" you describe happens to me sometimes. I think it could be something to do with lag.

I think what happens is that you move the mouse a just small amount, but quickly. Just at that point, you lag a bit and then the game tries to predict where you would have been facing. It assumes you were going to keep moving your mouse at the same rate, and you end up spinning around in a couple of circles.

I could be wrong, it could be a bug or something, but that's just what it seems like to me.
