Apart from artillery kills (team and enemy) and final scores for winning (please clarify how many for a win or loss) how else do you get 'commander points???? Do all combat points while you are commander count or are we talking specific here???
Your commander score is an average of the players on your team's scores (when playing commander of course). If you win you get to double that. That's the only way to get commander points, combat and team points as commander don't count. You will notice that it never says "You got a revive score!" or "You have received points for a Flag Capture" or even "You killed PLAYER" while you are being commander.
WRONG! This theory is wrong and has been wrong for a while now. Nobody really knows how commander points work, but I think it all has to do with time.
Read my post. I said the average of people's score WHILE YOU ARE COMMANDER, people can leave and join, that's why people's numbers don't add up and they say it is not an average. It is not an exact average, but it is close to an average.
Pertinent to COMMANDER POINTS... I just killed 60 apponents on a server, mostly with artillery on a long game. I got only six points, as if the server only recorded my gun kills. ANY THOUGHTS ON THIS, TELL ME THIS IS NOT A NEW UPDATE, PLEASE.

Thanks. Someone on their says artillery doesn't count toward score, but I think that must be wrong... I played with a team that only held the one flag on the right side of Karkand, across a demoed bridge... I artied A LOT of dudes and got a 150 plus score, and our team won the game. But I don't think that 150 pts, even if it was doubled, was average of the team score... and we capped like no flags that whole game, too. Anyway, I'll figure it out, thnx.
Again, read the several million threads that have beaten this subject to death (without actually coming to a conclusion though) :p
From the tests that I've done on a LAN with mates, it *IS* the running average of your teams score (i.e. people who leave the server midgame have their score recorded by the server) give or take a few points.
We played a map where my team got no kills and capped all the bases in 2 minutes and the same map where we did the same thing, but I got 17 arty kills and in each match I got the same amount of commander points.
The times that I have tested the "arty DOES gives points", it have clearly shown that you dont get ekstra points of killing with arty..
Have also tested reparing my arty, uav trailer and sat scanner (as commander).... no re pairpoints for me.
So Im gonna go ith the wast majority of ppl and say :
The copmmander score is a wharped avarage of all the others score, and the commander does not receive any ekstra points for doing any individual stuff.
Conclusion: Commander Score is made up of a rolling average of points scored by other players on the team, whilst he is on duty. Only players that are alive at the time count (this actually means that if someone scores points whilst half the team are dead the commander gets MORE score for this). This also means that the scores of players that have since left the server DO count, so long as this commander was on duty whilst they earned those points. There's also nothing about "exclude players with 0 score" as it's not even raking a simple mean at the end of a round, it's a rolling scoring method (saves them having to store the scores of all the players that left during the round).
Command Actions by the commander give him command score, and a player succeeding at a 'command action' (assumed as capturing a flag he was told to) does NOT cause points to be added to the commander score (which seems silly, they should really, it's rewarding a good commander for having directed the player there, although a squad leader may have done it independently, so maybe it's not so bad it's how it is).
Code:
# give commander score for every player score
def addScore(player, points, subScore = NORMAL, subPoints = -1):
# commander doesnt get score for regular actions, only for pure commander tasks. he also gets punishing points.
if not player.isCommander() or subScore == CMND or points < 0:
