I find my self cycling trough views alot just to se where or from who I got shot. But army humvee's maybe dont have that in real life ?
It would be nice as it would greatly reduce your TK's and your likelyhood of dieing while trying to prevent backing up TK's
It seems to me that that only way to look behind you is by changing the camera view. I usually do this to avoid running over teammates, of course right then i get a sraw right through my windshield

I try and drive any transport jeep vehicle in F10 (external rear chase view) as it's easier to see any wallys near or around your vehicle. It takes a little getting used to but is much better at preventing TK's and the bonus is you can see more of the environment around your vehicle, especially to the sides.
If I'm not mistaken, I believe the Humvees don't have an internal rear view, only side view mirriors. A buddy of mine has a Marine Corps Humvee... I'll look at it.
For the sake of the game though, hit F11 to see behind you. :P

i too drive F10 style, easier to see spec-ops drop c4 on ya back-end too....
Instead of a rear view mirror, how about a key set to change the camera angle to look rearward when depressed? This would be a fast and easy way to check the rear of your vehicle and can be used both while on inside and outside camera view of vehicle.
this will be implemented i have no doubt...
BF2 requires pixel shaders or it won't run... so for DICE to make a rear view mirror actually work in the humvee would be effortless... just wait til they're done patching bugs and flaws then they can get to the good stuff...
remember when the planes in BF42 didn't have the reflections on the windows and body? then they added them in...
