    Jet Lag

Hi, I;m having problems whilst using the jet. One minute I'll be flying high, the next my plane will be upsde down heading for the floor. I think this is due to Packet Loss as I've always had problems with loss on CSS. Anyone out there got a good knowledge of broadband connections? Thanks!

BT Broadband 2MB - Wireless Router.

Most likely its the wireless router that is killing you. Try hardwiring yourself to the router (if its possible) see if you get the same problem(s).

it's time to remove that door, or nail it shut.

                    Hay spunge.
You say you can't hardwire to your Wireless Router. This means connecting your PC to the router with the use of a specialised cable known as a "firewire" cable via a firewire earthnet connection.
If you can WiFi from your router to your PC then the Router and PC should have a connection point for the firewire.
Why can you not connect in a hardwire way?
Are more than 1 users, using the broad band connection, at the same time as you?

I cannot get a cable from the router to my PC as the router is in a seperate room. There IS another wireless reciever but it is not being use 98% of the time.

how many fps do you get, your specs are a little low for your graphic settings, and the jets are known to have fps issues when high up in the sky, maybe its your video lagging out, maybe watch your framerate as this happens and see if it is falling to nothing...

No my fps is 30 fps solid. Also I've only started pushing my settings up recently and the same problems showed when i have low - medium setting.

You can get different lengths of cable with the firewire ends on it that will reach into the other room which will not be very expensive.
IMHO the firewire cable direct connection will boost connection performance and will enhance your game play etc to the net "BUT"
the vid card you are running is about at its limit for your settings if not a bit over stretched which could be the answer you may not wish to hear.

Drop your in game vid settings to lowest and see if the lag is still there for the flying. If flying experience improves in any way, (then your card is the answer,) you can then bump up the in game vid settings until the flying lag becomes unacceptable again.

Good luck and let us know what you decide and how you get on m8.
